Every day , I wake up to realise..you’re not here. you’re not coming back.

But in my dreams, you’re still with me. That’s why i sleep so much. I want to sleep forever

I want to escape reality, because in my dreams, we are together

I see your happy gaze and your smiling eyes. I feel your warm touch, your loving arms as you held me close, my body melding to yours complete envelopment. I can hear your breaths against my ear, the affirmations that escape your lips.

I know it’s not real.

I know that when I wake up, you’ll be gone again.

But for those few precious hours, I can pretend that you’re still with me. I can pretend that we still have a future together.

and so I sleep, and I dream,

and I meet you in that place where my love never dies.
